Ganjifa as a Lens for Learning

This demonstration lesson explores how traditional Indian Ganjifa playing cards can be used as a dynamic teaching tool to engage students in object-based learning.

 

Designed as part of the Penn Museum’s MTL program, the lesson invites dialogue on how cultural artifacts like Ganjifa can spark interdisciplinary connections — from storytelling to systems thinking — in the classroom.
